Could you live off peanut butter and water for extended period?

So peanut butter is good for years and when it does go bad its still edible- the taste just changes right? So if you had a water source and giant barrels of peanut butter how long could you survive? Months, years, forever? I realize you'd be missing vitamins and such but the question is just how long could you survive? (Its cheap and easy to store so hypothetically you could have tubs or barrels of it for survival situations if it was enough to keep you going.)

Do i have to much of a tolerance for pain medicine?

i find that when im prescribed any sort of pain pills i have to take like triple the dosage for it to have any effect sometimes even four times. is there anything i can do to not take that many i know it can be harmful to my liver. i think i built up the tolerance when i was on percocet 10/325 for almost 5 months and i went from taking 1 every four hours to taking 3 every 3 or four hours but again is there anything i can do to lower this tolerance?

Broccoli & quinoa: would you make any changes to this?

This is similar to a dish I make, so have you thought of cooking it all together? In my recipe, you toast the quinoa in a dry skillet to give it a nutty flavor and then add 2 cups liquid/cup of grain-bring to a boil, then cover and cook 20min. You could add the broccoli and garlic at that point and steam it all together. It seems simpler-add the lemon juice after cooking. I also might suggest some fresh tomato added after cooking then just heated through and/or maybe 1/4 cup grated hard cheese.

I miscarried identical twins in the past, about 4 years ago at 18 weeks pregnant. I am wondering if anyone knows whats the chance of in the future ever getting pregnant with identical or feternal twins again? I have since then had one healthy little boy, but was curious what the chances of getting pregnant with another set someday. It's been 4 years and I think about it every single day and always wish I had my twins :(

Possible drug overdose?

I took half of a percocet 10 and had some Voltaren Gel rubbed on my back. I was sleeping and woke up because I was cold and started feeling like I wasn't breathing right. Like I'm seriously freaking out. I hardly ever take medicine and I'm not real sure you can even overdose on such stuff especially due to the small amount taken. Is this possible? The only other conclusion is my body has actually relaxed and I'm not use to it. I took the pill like 5 hours ago and cream was right at 3 hours ago. Somebody please tell me so I can get back to sleep, this is freaking me out.

Could my baby born addicted?

I'm not on real drugs or anything. I've had a really hard time with this pregnancy due to having 3 herniated discs in my lower back. Before getting pregnant I was on percocet. As soon as I found out I was pregnant.(4weeks) I quit taking them. I didn't want to hurt my baby. I'm now 35 weeks. Ive been in pain my entire pregnancy so the Dr said it was ok to take tylenol. I take 2 on a normal day, 4 if its a bad day. I was wondering if there is any way that my baby could come out addicted and have withdrawls?

You'll be fine, I am actually a recovering drug addict and I used to take bout 15 of those at a time...so if you wanted to take two...no you will not die, it may make you feel a little bit funny because it is a narcotic and they do give you a bit of a head buzz. Yes they are addictive, but as long as you don't keep taking them after your script is gone, you'll be fine. Don't be like me, and like the high and go out and start buying em every chance you get, cuz then you'll end up like me, and be addicted to em for 4 years, with everything you own sold or in the pawn shop lol but I'm doin good now and I've been clean for 3 weeks, so they can be nasty, but you'll be fine...have fun..but not too much fun ;)

How often can I safely take Percocet 10/325?

I am in alot of pain lately. I am prescribed Percs/Oxycodone 10/325 twice a day, but I am not getting enough pain relief the medication seems to only be lasting 2hrs at times. I got them filled at a discount pharmacy, but have gotten other things filled there as well with no problems. Is it my tolerance level perhaps? Has anyone experienced similar problems?

I've had a very hard time getting pregnant, so when I found out that I was about two months ago, I was so happy, but last week i started bleeding heavy and having abdominal pain. When I went to my dr, he apologized and said I'd miscarried.This news was devastating to me. Not only is This is the second time this has happened. My fiance has gone all out and told his whole family that we're expecting, and they're all ecstatic about it, but i have no idea as to go about telling them I've miscarried again. My fiance told me if I lost another baby he'd be done with me. He also will get mad and tell me just go ahead and have an abortion and he doesn't even know I've already lost the baby and how much pain I'm going through right now. I can't help what's happened, but he and his family make me feel like I'm doing something wrong or not taking care of myself, because when I was younger and we were together, I used to go out and drink a lot they think that I'm still the same way, which couldn't be further from the truth. How should i go about telling them, without them thinking that I've done something wrong. Wow, I'm sorry you have to go through this. The rate of prescription drug abuse has gone up like 500% in the past few years because medical ethics has relaxed the rules about painkiller prescriptions. Basically, in the past, lots of people in terrible chronic pain could not get painkillers because docs were so strict about what amounts of painkillers they'd give out. Then recently they started recommending that it would be OK to give out more painkillers, and boom, many drug addicts were created. It's not enough to take painkillers to become addicted, though--you also have to have an addictive personality. Anyway, what you need to do is to join the support group Al Anon. This is for the loved ones of addicts of all sorts--alcohol, drugs, etc. Being in the group will help you to learn what you can and can't do, should and shouldn't do to help your wife. You can't MAKE her go to rehab. You CAN do an intervention, but you can't make up her mind for her. And you don't want to become her enabler. And you need to learn how to resist her manipulations. And you need to learn what is OK for you to do to help be supportive. This group will teach you all that, and give you some much needed emotional support--you have a lot to cope with already based on your experiences in Afghanistan and your own wounds! The military likely has Al Anon groups but there are also Al Anon groups in every community, meeting every day. Just google it. Good luck!!

I had hip replacement surgery and the doctor prescribed percocet for the pain. The problem is every 3-4 hours I get a massive headache. I just underwent Jaw Surgery and my jaw is wired shut. Therefore i cannot swallow a percocet pill to relieve my pain and let me sleep for once. My boyfriend just had a seizure today, but the doctor's at the hospital do not know why. I am having terrible anxiety attacks in the middle of the night? How can I make them stop?

Recently I have been waking up fine but when I try to fall back a sleep I have terrible anxiety attacks and cannot fall a sleep for anything. I close my eyes and just as I'm about to drift off to sleep I feel terribly anxious and find myself gasping for air and shooting up to a sitting position. I recently had a baby and this is who I wake up at night. I wake up to feed him, he goes right back to sleep and then when I try to go back to sleep this happens and can go on for hours. I don't know if it is worth mentioning but I am taking percocet with acitometophen 4 times daily as well as celebrex once a day for a bad back injury I sustained in December. I had some stuff ups with my birth control pill and my last period seemed to be like they were before I started the birth control and I felt like I was ovulating pretty soon after my period ended. I had pain in my front and back in the same place which my Mum said could be ovulation. At the time I didn't think anything of it and my partner and I had sex (no condom or pull out). Yesterday, which going by when I feel I ovulated, would be 7DPO and I have been very bloated, tender breasts, cramps (including leg cramp), nausea, I have been getting full really quickly which isn't usual for me and after eating I feel as though the food is trying to come back up again. I have been urinating more which includes waking up in the night to go to the toilet and I haven't been sleeping very well which is unusual for me. Percocet, nausea, and wisdom teeth--HELP?

So I just had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. I am in sooooo much pain so the doctor prescribed percocet for the pain and some random anti-biotic to prevent infection. I am so nauseous from the percocet that I can't even take the anti-biotic. I have taken the percocet with food but the nausea just keeps persisting. So they arrested me and took me to their little jail and said I could bond my own self out for $60. Or i would have 2 go to the big jail in ellsworth! So now I am facing a felony charge for this-Ive never had been in any trouble with the law reently until 3 months ago with my suv I hit a metal ball hitch on the back of a truck. It did no damage to me nor the metal ball so I went in got my prescriptions and left for home. Later a 71 year old woman saw it happen and reported a vehicle like mins-so for the first time in 25 years I got a charge leaving the scene of a accident but didnt have 2 pay any fines b/c there was no damage and i dont have income as I take care of my husband and am applying for ssi myself. So anyways I got 1 of his doctors already wrote a note saying that i am his legal caretaker and its not unusual for me to have his medicines on my person. Now shes just waiting fot me to tell het 2 send it to. They even took the meds, he just had his hip surgery and got his pain meds taken away and couldnt get more b/c it was to soon(insurance) Can this be dropped with my doctors note?-its ridiculous!! Also I have barely ny money but should i get a public defender and wait till august or get a chaeap lawyer that can handle it now? Can cases be thrown out before the first court date?

Is it possible for pregnancy symptoms to increase if your hormones aren't?

I know that as long as there are hormones present it is possible to experience symptoms, but last week I had nothing, and now I'm experiencing a ton of different things. The doctor suspected a non-developing pregnancy and made me wait a week (which would be Friday) for the next appointment. I'm just thinking it's pretty unfair that my hormones would be decreasing and I'd be losing the pregnancy when I'm nauseous, hungry but with no appetite for anything at all, have sore boobs, headaches, extreme fatigue (like, bed time at 6 PM), the same part of my nipple that got darker with my daughter has gotten darker now, etc. All of them have been increasing over the past few days, and new ones keep popping up. So basically, I feel pregnant even though the doctor seems confident that it's non-developing and I should miscarry. Is it possible for the hormones to go down and the symptoms increase?

Growing up through elementary, middle, and junior high taught me mainly about popularity. I'm currently 19 and my fiance is 21. We have been together for almost two years now and have been living together just as long. My fiance already has a 3 year old daughter. Parole violation in PA please help need advice asap?

Hi so my boyfriend went to visit me in NJ this past weekend. He broke his hand and went to an ER in NJ. He is on parole for receiving stolen property. Someone stole a laptop and I think he said it was his and took the blame for it. At the ER in NJ, they gave him a 5mg percocet. This was Saturday night and Monday morning he had an appointment with his PO. His PO said he tested positive for the perc and to show proof he had the perc prescribed to him, he had to show he went to NJ so he violated parole right there. He also tested positive for marijuana and they told him to get help before but he never did, even though it's just pot but the law is a little out there. Anyways, so yesterday he was detained and taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility and he can't call me for another 24 hours and visits aren't for 7 to 10 days. Bail has not been set but my question is if they set his bail to a specific amount of money, can you just pay it off and he would be out right away? How long do you think he would be in there? He has never violated probation/parole before. I am literally going insane. We literally just moved in together about five days ago and I could possibly be pregnant right now. I'm getting suicidal because I miss him so much and I am so afraid, vulnerable, worried and just too emotional. I do most of the time. I've wrecked on motorcycles, fallen off cliffs, got bitten by dogs, and even got crushed by an elevator one time in a dream and I felt the pain. Not Physical pain but just a mental feeling of what I think or know it would feel like. I also smell, taste, and can feel things sometimes in my dreams. Usually when you have a miscarriage, you dont feel sick. Such pregnancy symptoms actually disappear. And even if you consider the symptoms she has normal for a miscarriage, she should really see a doctor. B/c she isnt even sure if she was pregnant so it doesnt have to be a miscarriage at all. Can my pain medication be affecting my milk supply?

I recently had a tubal ligation (mini lap procedure) and was prescribed Percocet and ibuprofen for pain. I was advised to pump and dump for the first 24 hours and told I could resume breastfeeding after that. Since the I have noticed my son spitting up more, very gassy and while he will latch he won't drink, but when given formula he will drink without issue, no gas, no fussing and will generally be more content. My supply is now very low despite continuing to pump/attempt to nurse and I was wondering if my pain medication could be the cause of this. Has anyone had a similar experience? I want to continue breastfeeding as long as I am able, what can I do to help boost production while keeping my baby nourished and happy?

Pain Clinic and what can happen?

I know a person that use to be a drug addict and was an alcoholic as well. Last year he got really sick and the doctors gave him less then a 5% chance of making it threw the night. Well to make a long story short he mad it and is now having pain and is being managed by a doctor with Morphine 15mg three times a day. He has stopped drinking as they told him if he had one more drink it would kill him as he has a hole in the middle of his pancreas's and that is what he is having the pain from.He takes his Morphine more often then he should and then gets other meds from people off the street as to, vicodin, xanaxe, methadone, percocet, ambien or whatever else he can get his hands on. When I started at a pain clinic they drug tested me and I had no issues to it as I only take what the doc perscribes for me, but I tell him that they drug test and if you come up dirty they will not see him and they wont perscribe meds to him anymore but (as to what I understood when I was being seen by a pain clinic) and his primary doc is in a free clinic that usually does NOT prescribe narcotics out to patients that are seen there but they are with him because of his condition and they said its a very rear thing for them to do. So my question is will they see him at the pain clinic if he has many other drugs in his system that are not prescribed to him as he is telling me that he doesn't believe me,

Hello everybody, I really need your help and advices .. In February this year me and my hubby decided to try for a baby, I did want to start from quite long time, it take some time for my husband to agree that is the time. Any way we started and after 4 months I felt pregnant - I was over the moon from happiness, my hubby was happy too at the beginning. Then all of a sudden he started to be worried and he forget about the happiness and just started to think how we are going to take care of the baby especially after I will need to stop working. I was very very hurt, we had argues and somehow he settled down and started to accept the situation. We had little friends dinner and we announced the happy news, but ... The next day I had spotting and little cramps, we went to emergency and they said to me that the baby doesn`t progress as it should. I was so so sad ... In two days time I was back in emergency with non stop bleeding and after one more day I miscarried. I lost my baby. My husband was with me in the hospital all the time, trying to make me laugh and he was so happy that I was Ok. I didn`t feel that he felt any bad for the baby, he was sick worried but for me. Its been a month now after I miscarried, the doctor said it is Ok if we want to start for a baby again straight away, but my husband doesn`t want. He now thinks of all that how we are going to take care of the baby and staff and does not want to try for another one. I'm 23, perfectly healthy and the pregnancy has been too. But 2 years ago another OB diagnosed me with something that he claimed wouldn't let me get pregnant or cause me to miscarry. Oxycodone 10mg Immediate Release Question?

My doctor had me on Percocet for a long time until at the end of this past March taking three 10/325 pills at once wasn't helping my pain at all. At the beginning of this month he moved me to just plain oxycodone HCL 10mg tablets. Taking 3 and a half pills at once gives me no relief. I've even taken 4 pills at once and have gotten no relief at all. I'm afraid to take more than 4 pills at once because suffocating is my worst fear. People say I shouldn't have any problem taking more because of my tolerance but I'm extremely scared but the pain is so bad that I need relief even if it's just a little bit. What would be ok for me to take without causing myself to die. I want to find obviously the minimum amount needed to take for pain relief and just this morning 35mg at once didn't give me any relief or even make me tired at all. I have very bad anxiety too which is why I'm trying to find out what is safe for me to try based on the tolerance I personally have to this drug. Can anyone give me an idea of this so I won't have to be scared and go into a panic attack just trying to get relief?

Last night I noticed that my hands, knees and feet were all stiff and achy. I woke up this morning and it was no better. I'm a 30 year old female who has never had any major illnesses. I had my wisdom teeth out last monday and developed dry socket. I was on percocet and ibuprofen for over a week but just came off of the pain meds about three or four days ago. I couldn't see how but is there a chance its my body's reaction to coming off the pain meds? I almost never take medicine as I try to do things as hollistically as possible. Why can't I brew Duncin' Donuts Coffee at home and have it taste like it does in their shops?

About 5 years ago I fell off of a cliff and broke my ankle, tore ligaments in my knees and tore a disc in my spine which collapsed and caused a bulging disc as well. What followed was about 2 1/2 to 3 years of pill abuse (lortabs/percocet). I stopped that about 2 years ago with 1 minor slip. Over the past few months my health had been in question. I was losing weight, had lots of anxiety, couldn't put the weight back on, depression, etc. I thought a lot of it was emotional issues I needed to work thru so I started talking to my family and inlaws and decided to go to a therapist. My female inlaws decided to write me off as a drug addict and keep their distance. As of just this past week I found out I have a potentially life threatening health issue which has actually caused all of these side effects I have been going through. I even took a voluntary drug test just to clear the air. I still haven't even heard from them and these are people I have been there for in the past. I'm being told not to even think about that right now but it is VERY difficult. Would you be upset if you were in mg shoes? How do you think you would handle it?

Wisdom teeth removal, now horrible pain!?

You could take 2 Tabs of percocet every fours and it isn't going to hurt you. With that amount of pills you are not going to get high. You might get a little sleepy. The purpose of the pills is to help ease the pain. Pain pills should be part of your recovery. If you take 2 and it makes you funny than wait and take 2 every 5 hours or even six hours. But don't wait till the pain is so bad that you can't stand it. Use your own jjudgment

Emergency room/pain management advice needed.?

Im currently in pain management, i have a serious problem with lower abdomen pain due to mulitple cysts on my ovary, ive had 5 surgeries all due to this problem and my left ovary removed, my dr prescribed me percocet and butrans patch which i was told was like morphine and my gynecologist (he preformed all my surgeries) he says im immune to morphine which i told my pain doctor but he doesnt listen.( and my obgyn isnt able to help me further cause he doesnt know what to do with me since my case is very odd being that im 22) So im in a lot of pain and the percocets arent working my dr knows that but says he doesnt have any available apts soon so he said go to emergency room, in the past i was prescribed norco which my mom found an old prescription with a few left and i took them to see if that would help but im worried that if i go to the emergency room and they run tests that if they see that can i get kicked out of pain management?

They always do testing on the baby the first 4 or 5 months, maybe longer since it's been 10 yrs since my daughter was born. But they always test for brain damage, autism, down syndrome or any other medical problems. They can also do an amniocentesis done on the baby to test for further problems if you are very worried. But that is the only thing that can be done.

I am a 31 year old single female with a good job, stable income, i rent my own home and consider myself to have a good life. I have not met a man i would like to start a family with as yet, but even if i did/did not in the future, i would like to seriously consider adoption or being a foster mum. I would not do it because of lonliness or the usual factors people think for a 30 something year old woman, but because i feel i would make a good parent, am very maternal, patient and quite frankly i have a lot of love to give to those who need or deserve it, to name but a few. My concern is, if i were to go ahead and try to adopt/foster in the future, that i have had 2 serious bouts of depression in the past. Knee Replacement Surgery?

I had total knee replacement surgery on 6/6. I'm on Coumadin and take Percocet for the pain. I've a physical therapist coming to my home 3 times a week and my blood drawn weekly. It's been almost a month and I feel like I should be farther along in my recovery. I'm still using a walker. My ROM is going very well, or so says my therapist. The thing is, my foot is swollen like a balloon. It's very uncomfortable to elevate it above my heart for a long period of time. Any ideas? I only take my pain pills before therapy, therapist says I should take them more often. I know everyone's different, but I wonder if there's anyone out there with advice?

Hello everybody, I really need your help and advices .. In February this year me and my hubby decided to try for a baby, I did want to start from quite long time, it take some time for my husband to agree that is the time. Any way we started and after 4 months I felt pregnant - I was over the moon from happiness, my hubby was happy too at the beginning. Then all of a sudden he started to be worried and he forget about the happiness and just started to think how we are going to take care of the baby especially after I will need to stop working. I was very very hurt, we had argues and somehow he settled down and started to accept the situation. We had little friends dinner and we announced the happy news, but ... The next day I had spotting and little cramps, we went to emergency and they said to me that the baby doesn`t progress as it should. I was so so sad ... In two days time I was back in emergency with non stop bleeding and after one more day I miscarried. I lost my baby. My husband was with me in the hospital all the time, trying to make me laugh and he was so happy that I was Ok. I didn`t feel that he felt any bad for the baby, he was sick worried but for me. Its been a month now after I miscarried, the doctor said it is Ok if we want to start for a baby again straight away, but my husband doesn`t want. He now thinks of all that how we are going to take care of the baby and staff and does not want to try for another one. Me on the other hand I want a baby so much, I don`t think that we will struggle so much, it will be difficult but we will deal with it. And now I`m sad for my baby, sad that we don`t try for another one, sad everytime when I see a baby on the street, my days just turn to be so black, and I don`t see a reason to wake up. Extremly painful pregnancy and want to induce labor at home!!! ?

I've had the amniocentesis done to check babies lungs they are in great condition and its ok forhim to be born. I am 37 weeks and have been diagnosed with spd symphysis pubis dysfunction. I was given a prescription for percocet but I know it passes the barrier to the baby and I am to scared to take it. But spd easily stated my pelvis is falling apart. I am dilated 1cm and know I could be there for a while which is why I wanna get things going. Due to spd I can barely get out of bedwalk or live a normal daily life which includes taking care of my 14 month old. They say the cure for spd is having the baby... well doc won't induce cuz hospital policy makes it so he can't induce until 39 weeks but if I go into labor before then I'm good!!!! Help me please I can't walk, sex hurts to bad, I tried castor oil it constipated me still haven pooped its been 4 days. I've heard bad rumors of black cohosh and blue. I've been orally taking evening primrose oil. Any other suggestions I'm so desperate. I don't want to be in this much pain anymore I miss taking care of my daughter and its put a very big emotional stress on me. Please help me. I'm sorry to hear that you've miscarried. It's a hard thing for any woman to go through. I miscarried last year at just over 2 months (8w4d) and waited to have intercourse until my bleeding had been completely stopped for a week. My doctor said to wait at least a week after the bleeding was stopped to make sure that my cervix was closed back up so that I wouldn't get an infection. Good luck to you.

Percocet vs. oxycontin?

I have been on Percocets now for about 6 months for my arm and wrist, from when it was severly shattered(my wrist), then 3 days after being out oft eh cast, I broke my arm(What luck, right?!) The first thing they gave me were 20 mg. oxycontin, and I found them REALLY strong, to the point where I was afraid to close my eyes because I didn't think I would wake up! They then gave me percocets 10/325. which seemed to work at first, but is not having the same pain relief as it was. they said they would put me back on the oxycontin to relieve the pain through my arm/wrist, but i'm not wanting to take them again because of my first experience with them and how I reacted to them. Is there anything in between that I could take to relieve some of the pain without having to jump up to something like oxycontin?

My friends husband died last year from doing this exact same thing with almost allof these same drugs, He was great husband and father but he was addicted and would not stop taking all these drugs almost every day. One day they found him sitting on his couch with Arbys on the coffee table and he was in the middle of eating and he just sat there and his heart just stopped and he died. He never knew what hit him. It was the saddest thing EVER. My friends heart was broken and she has a 12 yr old daughter without a dad. Now she is doing the same thing and taking prescription drugs trying to cope with his death and I am afraid the same thing will happen to her. I'm sorry but I don't know what to tell you to do. Maybe show him some of these posts so he will see how seriously dangerous taking all these pills really is. Can chasteberry (vitex) help me become pregnant? how do i take it?

I have irregular cycles , sometimes im regular like 35days apart and other times i skip a month but i have never gone longer than 2 months without a period. my husband and i are ttc and its very difficult to figure out when i ovulating if my period varies so much and opks can get expensive. my sister told me about chasteberry (vitex) is suppose to help regulate your period and help u ovulate. so i went out and bought some from the vitiamin shoppe and they said to only take them for 2 weeks cd1-cd14 and stop. until next period starts because it could cause a miscarriage if its in your system when you become pregnant. so i did but how is it gonna help me regulate my cycle and help me ovulate if i only take it for 2 weeks a month?? is this true or can i take it the entire month and stop taking it when i get a + hpt? will it cause me to miscarry ? pls someone help!! has anyone ever taken this and has a successful pregnancy? and how did u take it? i have the 500 mg capsuls. thanks in advance!!

If antibiotics will clear up my tooth infection, why do I need a root canal?

I was experiencing horrible tooth pain all weekend (so bad I couldn't sleep or eat), and finally got a chance to go to the dentist yesterday. She prescribed antibiotics and Percocet for me. I'm supposed to go back in for a root canal on Monday, however the tooth is feeling MUCH better -- yesterday I needed to take 6 percocet over the course of the day, today I've only needed to take one, and that was 12 hours ago. My question is -- if my tooth infection is going to respond this well to antibiotics after only one day, then the full course should presumably clear it up entirely. If this is the case, why do I need to get a root canal done?

amy i have suffered miscarriages in the past.....the first when i was 19 ,the result of a car crash [the trauma induced the miscarriage at 6wks]......the second last year , i was pregnant with twins , lost the first at 6wks 2 days the second at 11wks 1day.......each miscarriage ended like this .....i felt long sharp stomach pains , began to spot and /or bleed heavily , nausea , and finally i was an emotional wreck...........most of the symptoms you list CAN just be regular pregnancy symptoms.....and i know from my gp [and the fact i still had nausea , cramps on and off ,and pregnancy symptoms a month post miscarriage]that symptoms can linger for upto 12weeks following..........i knew i was pregnant [with the twins] 2 weeks after concieving , as my symptoms were severe and my two kids caused me little to no symptoms......and honestly i am british and never heard this nonsense about us being different to the americans ??? i may live in australia now but am pretty sure pregnancy is the same world wide.......i am sorry for your loss .....but remember some of those syptoms may not have been the miscarriage itself but perhaps the hormonal imbalance we all dance with in pregnancy

I had a baby at 19, and while I didn't have depression while I was pregnant I had serious post partum depression which gave me the exact same symptoms you have. It ruined me, because its been 8 years and I am still not the same. I love my son to death, but I am forever changed because I did not get the help I needed in time. I ended up a single mother, and its the hardest thing anyone will ever have to do. But as for you for right now, is there a reason for the depression or does it just seem like everything is making you sad? Also, your weening off several narcotics which will cause you to be depressed, since your body is used to those narcotics. No, your baby will not be harmed as long as you take care of your body and rid the medications from your system, and I promise you this depression will cease. You will be extremely tired for the next few months, I was a senior in high school, 3 months pregnant sleeping in the nurses office half the day I literally couldn't keep my eyes open. (And i barfed on myself in class). The most important thing though right now is you and your baby. Do you want this baby? Ask yourself and yourself only. Can you raise this baby alone? (It doesn't seem like douche bag will be there for you). If your answers are truly no, then abortion or adoption are available. Abortion is something that is looked down upon, but nobody has to know, and its your right as a woman to make that decision. The earlier the better, (I had a late term abortion once, 15 weeks, and I will never forgive myself for that, and i cry about it ALOT, and how selfish I was). Also there is adoption, there are soooo many couples that cant have children, that would give their lives to be parents, and have been on a waiting list for years for a baby, and would give that baby the whole world. So I posted earlier about switching from Vicodin to Percocet for major back issues due to multiple car accidents I've been involved in. Now, I'm a smoker, have been for years-but I've noticed when I take the opiotes such as vicodin or percocet I smoke WAY more...the drugs make me crave cigs like crazy..not exactly why...any ideas??

Why valium over soma?

On Thursday June 23rd I had a cervical spine fusion surgery. Before my surgery I was taking 1 soma 350 on most nights to help with muscle spasms. On my release instructions from the hospital they said not to take the Soma any more. The nurse told me it was "not good to take". Being not very "with it" at the time I just said ok. The nurse told me to call on Monday for something else if I was still having the spasms. So today I called and they prescribed 5 mg valium. Isn't Valium more dangerous than Soma? Why would they make the change? I have also been taking percocet for the pain. Does it have something to do with that?

I cant taste as well when drunk?

Lately ive noticed that when i drink at first taking shots is like taking cough medicine, its horrible and nobody likes the taste, but when i start to become intoxicated i have noticed that taking shots isnt bad and anything else i eat or drink doesnt taste as strong, does anybody experience this, is it just the alcohol depressing my reactions?

Im not addicted to pain pills i just like to take them every once in a while?

im going to say it right now so dont get it confused, I AM NOT AN ADDICT. i can focus and enjoy my life without taking any thing and i dont take them very often. it all started last march when i royaly ****** my shoulder, i tore my labrum, rotator cuff and cracked the shoulder joint as well as tore my bicep and a few ligiments behind my shoulder while wrestling, i initially injured it at the begining of the prior season but as the two years went on and i refused to sit out i eventually did severe damage. i was prescribed percocet and norco two pretty strong pain killers and i would take them like normal but after i had the surgery and the pain was gone i would take one every once in a while just to get that feeling when i had to go to some boring event, and now a year later maybe once ever other week i will take one before work just to feel good at that shithole, is anyone else like this not an addict just do it to take the edge off of something boring. i also find myself taking them when i have little pain in my shoulder but my doctor already told me it would happen for that reason for the rest of my life something about a reflex so that i dont feel that type of pain ever again

I recently had rather extensive oral surgery. A sinus cyst removed, 2 torus removed and about 25 stiches left in place. So needless to say I was in quite a bit of pain. Now the question comes to my mind since I have such a addictive personality, the surgeon had put me on percocet for pain control, I am currently taking about 1/2 to 1 pill a day to control the pain. Can I become addicted in such a short period of time. I have been on them for about a week now. I dont take them every 4 hrs but just when there is breakthru pain. Problem is I am becoming very comfortable with the way they make me feel and I could see taking them a lot more.

I have been on Percocet 10/325 for a year. My husband had a few of his 'boys' over and guess what came up missing out of my bathroom cabinet? Yep. Now I am in extreme pain. I was able to bear it for two days, but this, the third, I can't get off the couch and my knee keeps giving out on me and I'm getting searing pains up and down my leg and my nerves in that leg are going crazy. I get my meds in pain management and they have a strict policy of no refills early, even if they are stolen (WITH a police report). A friend just came over and he is prescribed Oxycodone HCL 5 mg, and he said that they were basically the same thing that I am taking. I only need a couple as I can get my refill in a few days. so, is this the same as it, or is what he wants me to have considered Oxycontin? I'm very nervous about taking meds that aren't prescribed to me, but the ER or anything else is out of the question. I just wanted to know if this truly is the same thing that I am prescribed? And is it time release or instant release, because I don't know how I should responsibly take it if I even choose to do so. Any help would be wonderful.

Miscarried twin, advice needed, thanks!?

first off i am so sorry for your loss! I myself lost a twin at 10 weeks. I went for my first ultrasound and the next day the doctor called me to come in to see her asap. I was so worried that something was wrong with my baby. When i went to see her she told me that i was pregnant with twins but only one heart was beating. She told me to wait a week and have another ultrasound done. When i went for my second ultrasound the lady showed me the screen. I saw my son (he was formed already) but then she showed me the other "sac" with nothing inside it except for a small dot which was the heart but it wasnt beating. the doctor then told me it wasnt a viable sac and there was no baby developing. It ended up just disappearing. In your case im pretty sure it was a twin. It just didnt develop. It will most likely just vanish also. They dont remove it...its like a miscarriage. My doctor actually called it "vanishing twin syndrome"
