Is it normal to get headaches while taking percocet?

I had hip replacement surgery and the doctor prescribed percocet for the pain. The problem is every 3-4 hours I get a massive headache. I am taking the percocets about every 6-7 hours depending on the pain in my hip and when I do, the headache also goes away? Is this normal and am I getting addicted to the percocets?
