Chicken ala king with red peppers - bubbles on its own - spoiled?

Also had mushrooms, milk, cream of chicken soup, peas, onions. heated it all together and left to cool before freezing. lifted lid and mixture bubbled, tastes good, any idea why the bubbles l- spoiled???
