Pregnacy question. Please help?

Okay so i went to the hospital because i thought i was pregnant they took my blood and told me they would take a blood pregnancy test and said they would call the next day. they told me that i was pregnant and something about my hcg 12.5 what does this mean? could this i miscarried or that im early pregnant.?
